MOMA- As the title says, The Museum of Modern Art has an extremely eclectic collection. Check out their film series!
PS1- contemporary art in long island city.
The Whitney- Modern Art from the 20th century
The Metropolitan Museum of Art- ranging from contemporary work to ancient artifacts this museum is donation based, meaning you pay what you can afford.
The New Museum- contemporary art, new stuff, weird stuff, fun stuff.

Just minutes from school is a whole neighborhood dedicated to showing the world's best art, and its all free!
